In 2003, we realised there was a need for a professional, friendly recruitment agency in Shrewsbury specialising in office based roles. Since then, we have placed hundreds of candidates across a range of sectors.
The team are all from Shropshire and between them have a wealth of experience working in the recruitment industry. They understand the needs of both local businesses and job seekers.
In 2015 & 2016 we were awarded “Best Independent Office Recruitment Agency – UK” and “Best Office Personnel Recruitment Agency in Shropshire” by Corporate Vision Magazine and awarded “Most Outstanding Office Personnel Recruitment Agency” by the Acquisition International Magazine in 2016.
Rob Griffiths MIRP CertRP
Rob started his life in recruitment working for a large national healthcare organisation before joining the team at Red Recruitment. Prior to working in recruitment Rob qualified as a Mortgage Advisor and worked for a blue chip financial services company. Rob has vast experience in customer service, management and sales and prides himself on his proactive and empathetic approach.
He is a REC qualified recruiter and a member of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP). He also holds a Diploma in Management.
Outside of work Rob is married with two young daughters and resides in the beautiful Shropshire Hills. He enjoys playing the drums, cycling and going for leisurely jogs (if there is such a thing!).
What Rob says: “I love how varied and challenging working in recruitment is. I love being able to assist local businesses whilst also being able to assist people into work, both of these elements of the job are very rewarding. Healthy recruitment is also a good indicator of a healthy economy so it’s great to be at the forefront of seeing businesses grow and develop.”
James Minor MIRP CertRP
Prior to becoming a Recruitment Consultant, James gained a degree in Business and worked in the Energy Industry. Before joining Red Recruitment he was working as a Sales Account Manager for a growing blue-chip organisation in the education sector.
He brings a wealth of experience working closely with a range of different companies and prides himself on providing an efficient service to clients and candidates alike.
He is a REC qualified recruiter and a member of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP).
Outside of work, James is married and enjoys travelling, scuba diving and camping along with playing guitar in his band.
What James says: “I really enjoy working closely with job seekers and businesses, learning about their requirements and combining these to add value to both. The job market can be a dynamic and changing environment and each day can present something new. It is also great working as part of a team, finding solutions for local businesses and even better, helping someone find a job in which they will prosper.”
Kate originates from Canada. She moved to the UK to learn more about her heritage and start a new chapter in life. With a goal of settling down in beautiful north Shropshire, the first leg of her journey was concentrated on securing employment. This experience of facing the challenges and rewards of settling down in a new country makes Kate an empathetic administrator as she understands where job seekers are coming from. Facing the unknown in the pursuit of a new job can be both exciting and daunting at times and Kate is the friendly face who greets our recruits as they walk through our door.
While living in Canada Kate earned a Diploma in Legal Administration and a BA (Hons) Degree in Legal Studies before working as a Law Clerk in Toronto. She also spent some time working in the horse industry as a groom/rider for various professional Canadian showjumpers which involved traveling to international competitions. Horses are still a big part of her life as she enjoys riding in her spare time.
What Kate says: “It is Red Recruitment’s ethical drive to genuinely help people that attracted me to this role.”
Meg began her career in recruitment in 1998 and co-founded Red Recruitment in 2003. In 2010, she began offering professional CV and LinkedIn profile writing services for people in the local area alongside her recruitment and management role. In 2014, due to its success and keen for a change, Meg established and currently manages Red CV Writing, which now has a global reach.
She has a solid understanding of what attracts and interests hiring managers, and writes professional and compelling documents guaranteed to capture the reader’s attention. A natural people person, Meg is adept at extracting essential information and identifying unique strengths, achievements, relevant experience and key drivers. She consistently receives excellent feedback and loves the variety of writing career enhancing documents for people around the world.
Meg lives on the outskirts of Shrewsbury with her husband and son. In her spare time, she enjoys trips in her VW campervan (Lloyd), mountain biking, scuba diving, hiking and travelling to scenic locations around the world.
